Format
- Players are split up into 4 groups.
- Within each group, players play each other over 1 leg.
- 2 points for a win.
- The top 2 in each group go through to the quarter finals.
- In the event of a tie for one or more positions in the group stages, the following will be used (in order) to determine placings:
- The result of the match or matches involving tied players.
- "Round The Clock".
- The quarter finals are played over 1 leg.
- The losing quarter finalists will play an "Round The Clock" to determine 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th place.
- The winning quarter finalists will progress to the semi finals which will be played over 1 leg.
- The losing semi finalists will play in a 3rd place play-off which will be played over 1 leg.
- The winning semi finalists will progress to the final which will be played over 3 legs (time permitting) otherwise just 1.
Game Rules
- 301.
- "Nearest The Bull" with 1 dart goes first.
- Straight in, double to finish.
- Once both players reach 40 or below, a maximum 10 throws each (i.e. 30 darts) are allowed to checkout.
- If both players fail to checkout within the 10-throw limit, "Nearest the Bull" with 1 dart wins.
Points Scoring
- 1st - 10 points
- 2nd - 8 points
- 3rd - 6 points
- 4th - 5 points
- 5th - 4 points
- 6th - 3 points
- 7th - 2 points
- 8th - 1 point
Round The Clock / Eliminator
- Players taking part in "Round the Clock" each take it in turns to see how many darts it takes them to hit numbers 1 to 5 (any segment) in order.
- The player taking the least amount of darts wins.
- In the event of a tie another round of the "Round the Clock" takes place between tied players.
- In the event of a tie after 3 full rounds of "Round the Clock", "Nearest the Bull" with 3 darts wins.
- In the event of a tie after a further 3 full rounds of "Nearest the Bull" with 3 darts, nearest the bull with 1 dart wins.
- In the event of a tie after "Nearest the Bull" with 1 dart, then lots will be drawn for the group stages and positions will remain tied for the rest.
- When throwing "Nearest the Bull":
- Anywhere in the inner bull (i.e. 50) counts as a hit and will not be measured.
- Anywhere in the outer bull (i.e. 25) and other areas of the board will be measured.
Disputes
The Organiser's decision in all disputes/matters will be final!
