Format
- Players are split up into 4 groups.
- Within each group, players play each other in a match over 1 game.
- 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw.
- The top 2 in each group go through to the quarter finals.
- In the event of a tie for one or more positions in the group stages, the following will be used (in order) to determine placings:
- The highest number of points gained in match or matches involving tied players.
- The highest winning margin (i.e. goal difference) in match or matches involving tied players.
- The highest number of goals scored (i.e. goals for) in match or matches involving tied players.
- The highest winning margin (i.e. goal difference) in all group matches.
- The highest number of goals scored (i.e. goals for) in all group matches.
- "Sudden Death".
- The quarter finals are played over 1 game.
- The losing quarter finalists will play a "Mini-Knockout" (i.e. Sudden Death) to determine 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th place.
- The winning quarter finalists will progress to the semi finals which will be played over 1 game.
- The losing semi finalists will play in a 3rd place play-off which will be played over 1 game.
- The winning semi finalists will progress to the final which will be played over 1 game.
Game Rules
- Players take 5 penalties each, against each other.
- Penalties must be taken alternatively.
- Players must toss a coin to see who goes first.
- The number of penalties scored by each player (out of all 5) is added together to form the match score.
Points Scoring
- 1st - 10 points
- 2nd - 8 points
- 3rd - 6 points
- 4th - 5 points
- 5th - 4 points
- 6th - 3 points
- 7th - 2 points
- 8th - 1 point
Sudden Death
- Players taking part in a "Sudden Death" must take 2 penalties against each other.
- The person scoring the most number of penalties will be deemed the winner.
- In the event of a tie for one or more positions in the "Sudden Death", then a further round of penalties (just 1 against each other) will take place.
- In the event of a tie after 5 full rounds of the "Sudden Death", the penalty spot is moved back a yard after every subsequent round of penalties.
Disputes
The Organiser's decision in all disputes/matters will be final!
